Subject: Agriculture jobs at Lake Tuggeranong College 2012

Hi all,
I'm not sure if its too late, but I'd just like to let you and any interested contacts know that there will be 2 Science/Agriculture positions available at Lake Tuggeranong College next year.

I haven't heard of a single applicant that has any Agriculture background, so far......

Paul's position is full time, for at least one year, but probably permanent.  He has been teaching Agriculture and Biology.

My position is 'anticipated' , part time, for at least a term....probably much longer.  I have been teaching Agriculture and Biology 3-4 days a week.

We are hoping to move permanently to our farm at Boorowa.   If all goes to plan, we won't be back.
I'm happy to talk to anyone to explain what we do.    We have 2 Agriculture classes, one Tertiary and one Accredited.  The Biology units to be taught include, Human biology,  Zoology, Botany, Cells and Genetics, Evolution, Ecology and Human Ecology.  We have lots of PE teachers who could be asked to take the human Biology units.  There is a chance that they may 'withdraw' my position, which would be a shame as we have such a range of Bio classes, + Agriculture to cover, and an Agriculture Plot to run!

If you know someone who may be interested please get them to contact Gary Lawson, the Level 2 Science on 62056212, or Bill Maiden our Principal on 62056219.

Looking forward to the continuation of Agriculture at LTC,
Kind regards,
Heather Mcleod

If you are able to assist with a list of potentials, or indeed, put it out there for the potentials to see, we would be very greatful.

Subject: Agriculture Teacher for Bomaderry High
To: president.nswaat@gmail.com

Dear Graeme

Just hoping you could again help out by circulating this plea for a qualified Agriculture Teacher - new graduates very welcome.
Bomaderry is North of the Shoalhaven River (Nowra to the South) at the end of the South Coast rail line and about 2 hours by road South of Sydney.
Bomaderry High (approx 900 students) has a well equipt, on location school farm and an excellent Ag Assistant -- 3 days per week.

Traditionally we have had 2 full time Aggies teaching HSC Agriculture, Yr 9&10 Agricultural Technology, Primary Industries, School based Ecoculture in YR11 and interest electives Animal Care and Junior Horticulture in Yrs 8&9.
The Ag Faculty is part of Mandatory Technology with farm based Units of Study in Years 7 & 8.

This is not an isolated position, the support of an experienced Ag teacher will be available and several other schools in the area have Ag.

Spare us a thought as new blood is needed to make best use of our great resources.

Feel free to contact me by  Department email or mobile 0412722103, I will get back to you.

Yours sincerely

Anita de la Motte.

Subject: Moree desperately needs an Ag/PI teacher

Hi Phil

I am currently based at Moree Secondary College- Carol Avenue campus and am due to go on maternity leave 30 May 2011.My position will come up as permanent at the end of the year.

We are having lots of trouble finding someone to replace me! To add to the dilemma our second Agriculture teacher based at Albert Street campus is going on long service leave the end of term three 2011 and not returning either!!!

So we are potentially chasing 2 Agriculture teachers. At the moment we are both teaching Primary Industries so will need at least one person either trained in PI or willing to be trained.

Just wondering if you know of anyone out there that would be interested in either a permanent Ag/PI position out here or even just 6 months temporary. The school will have to train a replacement in PI if they don’t already have it.

Maybe if you could send an email to the agies and see if anyone knows of someone out there who would be interested in the position.

Thanks

Subject: Agriculture Teacher Position at Nowra High School

Phil,

Your name has been given to me by Trevor Newman (Ag teacher NHS).

I am about to submit a vacancy for an Ag/ Science teacher at NHS to start February 2011. I tried to fill the position last year without success. Is there some way of alerting Ag teachers that there is a vacancy at Nowra and to consider applying for a transfer or look out for an ad?

I am an ex Ag teacher myself and I am keen for the position to be filled on a permanent basis so we can build the subject in the school.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
