2010 Higher School Certificate - Top result in Primary Industry

Hurlstone Agricultural High School student Corrine Fulford topped the state in Primary Industry at the 2010 HSC. Corrine attained a mark of 98/100. Corrine, a day student at Hurlstone, had studied Agriculture from years 7-10 before choosing to do Primary Industries.

Corrine comes from a farming background where her family have a small number of acres on the outskirts of Sydney. What was interesting about Corrine’s achievement was that Corrine was an accelerated student who sat the exam at the end of year 11. Corrine had over 450 hrs of documented RPL and this enabled her to follow this pathway.

Currently there are 4 students at the school being accelerated in the same manner. Students from Hurlstone have topped the state on two previous occasions in the past three years, both were boarding students, Corrine last year being the first day student. In 2008, Lloyd Setter achieved the Australian Vocational Student of the Year Prize.
